Logan Regional Medical Center, part of LifePoint Hospitals, Inc., had just three weeks to plan for its radiology department's transition to PACS. Continuing on the fast track, the installation took place over a mere two weeks.
The entire project included installing NovaPACS, NovaRad's enterprise PACS, at three on-site radiology rooms and two off-site facilities and integrating the PACS with Logan Regional's existing RIS, CR and CT.
With the NovaPACS installation, the hospital's three on-site radiologists quickly and seamlessly made the transition from reading film to accessing PACS. Another dozen radiologists and referring physicians also began remotely access images in the PACS over the Web with NovaPACS Web Viewer.
